Cannon was the orator of the day. In the afternoon I went to Saltair &
met with Pre^s Geo Q Cannon, and witnessed the performance of a lady contortionist
and returned on the 6 pm train.

July 5, 1898 ~ Tuesday

Tuesday July 5^th I feel well this morning and drove to the office, and was
quite busy all morning. Pres^t Geo Q Cannon came in the afternoon to transact some
business of the Electric Power Company, and he returned to Saltair. I went home at
4 pm.

July 6, 1898 ~ Wednesday

Wed July 6^th I went to the office feeling very well. attended the Directors meeting
of the Z. S. B. & Trust Co at 1 pm & presided. Went home at 4 pm. This is Elder L. John
Nuttalls birthday anniversary & he went to Provo for a family reunion.

July 7, 1898 ~ Thursday

Thurs July 7^th At the office. I rec^d a letter from M[adam] Mountford and wrote to her. I
attended with Prests Geo Q Cannon & Joseph F Smith the gathering of the Island
missionaries, their wives & natives at Calders Park this afternoon. had a very
enjoyable time.

Fri July 8^th. Went to the office feeling well, and was kept quite busy all
day. went home at 4 pm.

Thur July 14^th Went to the office. attended a meeting of the Directors of the Deseret
Telegraph Co at 10 am & presided. transacted the current business. I also
attended my usual meeting at the Temple at 11.³⁰ am. afterwards at the
office & left for home at 3 p.m.

Friday July 15^th at the office today feeling fairly well.
