I met with many of the Brethren at the office I met
with George Teasdale & Brigham Young from Mexico
and Brother Talmage on the University [and] several Elders from
the Islands several asked from for money Brother Benjamin
Cluff Jr called I received a Letter from Owen He gave a history of his sea voyage to Germany He was
sick nearly all the voyage He wrote to Wilford Beatie
His Letter was vary interesting
28 I spent the day in the office & Attended to the
business of the same several called upon us

29 Emma & Asahel went in Brother Farnsworth
Private carr to Deserett I called upon Thomas
Jennings in the E[v]ening with G. Q. CannonJ. F Smith & the
Twelve with several others to Meet with Mr B Nagarker
A man from Bombyay India it was reported that
He called to study Mormonism Dr Utter brought
him in But I learned that Neither Mr Utter nor
Nagarker believed in the Bible or Jesus as the savior
of the world or the resurrection
I set out an orchard of 30 fruit trees at the farm House
of Apple Peach Pares & Chery
